Writing by the Lake: Prose and Poetry Workshop

Four two-hour class sessions in the comfortable setting of Glen Rowan on the Lake Forest College campus, an end-of-term writing project evaluation, and an individual "Next Steps" conference with Professor Goluboff. Whether you are a novice or a pro, Writing by the Lake will let you get to the next level.

Successful writing is often the result of deadlines and a structured routine. This small-group writing seminar will supply both through weekly meetings with an experienced instructor and a supportive cohort of fellow writers. This Writing by the Lake seminar welcomes writers of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. So if you have a memoir, a novel, or a portfolio of verse on the back burner, bring it to Writing by the Lake, and bring it to completion. Benjamin Goluboff teaches in Lake Forest College’s English and Environmental Studies Departments. In addition to a number of scholarly publications about American Literature, Goluboff has placed imaginative writing—stories, poems, and essays—in many small-press journals over the years.
