Student Government

Want to really get involved on campus? Run for a position in Student Government, the representative voice of the student body.

Student Government is the link between students and the administration at Lake Forest College. Together, we represent student voices and are committed to creating the best college experience possible.

During the 2024-2025 academic year, Student Government passed legislation to improve student life through advocacy, projects, and restructuring. We advocated for a student representative to join the search committee looking for the college's fifteenth president; Purchased menstrual product dispensers and water bottle fillers for buildings around campus; Allocated funds to a proposal aimed at improving security features on campus; Revamped our senate positions to include a wider array of student voices; and continued to build bridges between the student body, the college administration, and the City of Lake Forest.

Senator and Committee Contacts

Senators are passionate students elected by their peers to address concerns on behalf of the student body. Acting in various capacities to meet with campus administrators, serve on committees, and interact with student organizations, our mission is to drive impactful changes across campus.

Every senator is expected to be involved within an internal committee of Student Government. The list of committee names (and acronyms) can be found below. If you have concerns, ideas, or questions, contact a representative from the list below.
