Attend the second panel of the Public Policy Analysis Challenge
What does the government have the power to do when someone threatens the social order? What should it do? This panel brings together members of the legislative branch, law enforcement community, and mental health lobby to discuss potential response strategies for when violent behavior tears at the social fabric of America.
The panel will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 in the Tarble Room in Brown Hall. Learn more about the panel members: Jason Palmer, Marvin Lindsey, Sheriff Robb Tadelman, and State Representative Joyce Mason.

Learn about using AI responsibly in the healthcare field
Dr. Heather Mattie is a Lecturer on Biostatistics, Co-Director of the Health Data Science Master’s program, and Director of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) programs within the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
In this talk, Mattie will discuss her resarch on network science and statistical machine learning approches to improve human health and equitable healthcare, with a special focus on detecting, mitigating, and preventing algorithmic bias.
The event is from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in the Tarble Room in Brown Hall.

Attend the 2024 A.B. Dick Lecture
Join us for this special evening made possible by the entrepreneurial spirit and generosity of A.B. Dick and the Dick Family. The lecture titled "Fortifying Communities: How Business Can Help Build a Better World" will be presented by Durell Coleman, founder and CEO of DC Design.
There will be a cocktail reception in Brown Hall Atrium from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. with the lecture taking place in the Tarble Room from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. The event is on Wednesday, March 27.

Hear from artist and filmmaker Adela Goldbard
Adela Goldbard is an artist and filmmaker who investigates how radical community performances can subvert the imposition of official narratives and how performances of violence and destruction can become aesthetic tools of resistance against power. She is an associate professor at the Rhode Island School of Design.
In her talk, Goldbard will share her recent practice, focusing on its interdisciplinary nature, research-driven approach, and collaborative approach, as well as her critical use of staging and reenactment and exploration of violence as a conduit for collective memory.
The talk is on Thursday, March 28 from 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the Tarble Room in Brown Hall. There will be a cocktail reception following the talk from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the Brown Hall Atrium.
