Robb Tadelman is the current Sheriff for the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff is responsible for providing operational oversight for the patrol, corrections, court security, records, and administrative divisions. Robb served for 19+ years with the Sheriff’s Office beginning as a Deputy. During his career, his other roles have included Detective, Sergeant (Patrol & Detectives), Internal Affairs Lieutenant, Deputy Chief of Operations, and Chief of Operations, and Undersheriff.

Robb received his Bachelor of Science in Aviation Administration with a minor in Criminal Justice from Western Michigan University. Robb has also been certified by the State of Illinois as a full-time law enforcement officer.

Current professional affiliations of Robb include the Illinois Sheriff’s Association and the Illinois Chiefs of Police Association. Robb is also active with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, where he serves on the Board and volunteers as a Lunchtime Big.
