Students will gain insight into the virtual job search and discover strategies for finding and landing remote roles, mastering the virtual interview process, and leveraging soft skills to connect in a digital world. Panelists include Cassia Baker ’15, Project Manager for OEA Grant Initiatives with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Samantha Niese ’15, Staff Assistant in the Office of Special Events at The National Gallery of Art, and Alicia Puig, CEO and co-founder of PxP Contemporary, Director of Business Operations for Create! Magazine, arts writer, and co-author of the recently published book The Complete Smartist Guide.

ABOUT THE PANELISTS:

Cassia Baker ’15 currently serves as the Project Manager for OEA Grant Initiatives with the Georgia Department of Economic Development. She has also served on a number of arts related boards, as well as working in the auction world for five years managing client accounts. Cassia earned her Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Art History at Lake Forest College.

Samantha Niese ’15 currently holds a position at the National Gallery of Art where she serves in the Office of Special Events as an Staff Assistant. She earned her Master’s in Art History at George Washington University. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Art History and History from Lake Forest College.

Alicia Puig is the CEO and co-founder of PxP Contemporary, Director of Business Operations for Create! Magazine, an arts writer, and co-author of the recently published book "The Complete Smartist Guide", which instantly became a #1 New Release in the Business of Art category on Amazon. She has worked in the arts industry for over ten years both in the US and abroad. Her writing has been featured in publications and on blogs including Create! Magazine, Pikchur Magazine, Art She Says, and Empty Easel, among others. Additionally, she has curated and co-curated exhibitions at Kutztown University, Hastings College, and the Tyler School of Art at Temple University.
