The DEIB workstream will play a crucial role to further instill the institutional values of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging across campus.
This group will be pivotal in mapping the trajectory of DEIB at our institution and will serve as the bridge between the previous work of the Intercultural Advisory Group (IAG) and the new President’s DEIB Advisory Council set to launch Fall 2024.
This spring the DEIB workstream will focus on recommendations outlined by the DEIB long-term planning group report, composed under the prior administration. The workstream will evaluate how these recommendations fit into Our Forester Future and will jumpstart the future work to be done by the President’s DEIB Advisory Council, starting in Fall 2024.
This spring, the DEIB workstream will:
- Conduct a DEIB inventory that takes inventory and catalogs departmental and organizational DEIB activities at the College.
- Assess the need and offer a potential job description for an institutional leader focused on campus wide DEIB work and propose possible restructuring of roles and departments to best support the work of DEIB across campus.
