Executive Assistant to the Krebs Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty
The Office of the Krebs Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs/Dean of Faculty (VPAA/DOF) at Lake Forest College seeks a dynamic, experienced individual with a positive outlook to serve as the Executive Assistant to the Provost/VPAA/DOF.
The Executive Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support and serves as the key point person for all constituents who contact the office.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide proactive support and assist the VPAA/DOF by anticipating needs of an active office and work environment.
- Manage a highly dynamic calendar that requires proactive, nimble, agile, and responsive skills.
- Organize and support VPAA/DOF to prepare for events and meetings, ensuring effective time management and prioritization that requires independent judgement.
- Manage timely correspondence for the VPAA/DOF including managing central inbox for the office.
- Support various College initiatives by coordinating meetings, distributing agendas, etc.
- Plan, implement and manage department-wide and other significant events (including Senior Honors Convocation).
- Support for select processes within Academic Affairs.
- Create and edit documents, reports, and presentations to support the VPAA/DOF in their work.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Other duties include but not limited to, greeting visitors, triaging needs, answering email and phones, website updates, ordering supplies, etc.
- Limited availability for after hours meetings or correspondence.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in administration.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects at once.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and capable of using other standard Microsoft Office applications.
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with a variety of College partners.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years as an executive assistant.
- Experience at a small, residential liberal arts college or in higher education in general.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: $53,000 - $60,000
