  • Access Internships

Internships and more. It’s all about getting experience.

    Here, you’ll get it. »

Here’s why The Chronicle of Higher Education featured the Lake Forest College Career Advancement Center as a national model.

  • Every first-year and transfer student is assigned a career advisor when they begin at the College
  • 11 professional career center staff—more than twice the national median
  • More than 90 percent of students work with the center’s staff before graduation
  • 97 percent of the Class of 2015 had jobs or enrolled in graduate school within six months after graduation
  • Students can pursue up to three internships for credit, and more than 50 percent of Lake Forest students graduate with internship credit

But don’t just take our word for it. The Chronicle of Higher Education featured the College, along with Stanford University and Rutgers University, for its institutional focus on career preparation.

Developing career goals — and a plan of action to achieve them — is a central part of the Lake Forest education. Through our signature Career Pathways program, you’ll learn how to choose a major, build and activate a professional network, and develop a plan to position yourself for success after college. The Career Advancement Center, your professors, coaches, and a host of alumni will be there to offer guidance every step of the way.
