Director of Alumni Engagement
Lake Forest College is seeking an experienced Director of Alumni Engagement who will be responsible for developing a comprehensive Alumni Engagement and Relations Strategy to deepen our connection with alumni through unique engagement events. The Director will foster a culture of philanthropy within our alumni network.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop a robust alumni engagement and outreach strategy.
- Create and share metrics to measure effectiveness of strategy.
- Staff the Alumni Council, ensuring they feel well connected as advocates, ambassadors, and fundraisers.
- Plan and execute the annual reunion events in conjunction with Homecoming.
- Build a year-long engagement plan for milestone reunions (i.e., 50th reunion).
- Support multiple affinity and identity-based alumni committees.
- Partner with the Office of Communications & Marketing, to develop and manage a suite of alumni events and programs, including in-person and digital programming.
- Partner with Director, Annual Engagement to develop and grow alumni pipeline through personal touch points, outreach, and engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3–5 years of Alumni Relations experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Event planning experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of college partners.
- Proficient in print, phone, and digital fundraising tools and platforms.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and capable of using other standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to develop project budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Slate CRM or similar CRM experience.
- Mailchimp or similar email design software experience.
Pay & Benefits
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000
