What made you choose Lake Forest College?

The incredible opportunities and the close-knit community are the reasons why I feel that I couldn't have made a better choice, especially considering that I had not even visited the college before move in day!

How did a liberal arts education make a difference for you?

It helped me pursue an education in multiple subjects that I was passionate about.

What experiences outside of the classroom do you think helped prepare you for DPT studies?

Shadowing and working with PTs in different settings helped me understand the profession better as well as reinforced my decision of wanting to be a physical therapist.

How did your time at Lake Forest help you prepare to apply to graduate school?

The clear pathway provided by the health professionals program, along with the supportive faculty, ensured that as an international student, I had a well-defined plan for my career after graduation.

What do you think of the new Health Professions Program between LFC and RFU?

As an international student with limited knowledge about the workings of the US healthcare industry, I find this program to be an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the various professions it offers. Learning from current professionals about their experiences provides a unique perspective for an undergraduate student who may be uncertain about their career aspirations.

What skills and experiences at Lake Forest do you believe will help you be successful?

Research and presentation skills are integral components of the college's curriculum, which I believe are essential skills to have even in a workplace setting.

What advice would you give a high school student looking to pursue pre-health and is considering Lake Forest College?

LFC provides several amazing resources, including research opportunities at RFU and the summer nursing internship. It is essential to take advantage of such resources. Unfortunately, nothing will be handed to you, so you have to proactively go out and make the most of them.
