Room Types

Lake Forest College has a variety of room types within our residence halls, and you’re sure to find one that you can make your own cozy corner of campus. Below are descriptions of the room types available. 

Doubles

Houses two students. 

Triples

Houses three students. 

Quads (Gregory, McClure, Roberts)

Houses four students; two students in front, two in back, separated by an in-room bathroom and closet. 

Moore Suite

Suites house four upperclass students in two double rooms with two bathrooms and a common area behind a shared entry door.

Moore Adjoined Double

Adjoined doubles are two double rooms with two bathrooms behind a shared entry door. Students are assigned to a specific room within the adjoined double.

Deerpath 5-Person Suite

A suite houses 5 upperclass students in two double rooms and a single room. The suite includes a common area, bathroom, and kitchenette. 

Deerpath 6-Person Suite

A suite houses 6 upperclass students in three double rooms. The suite includes a common area, bathroom, and kitchenette. 

Campus Apartments

Campus apartments offer an independent transitional living experience for students who would like to explore living outside of a traditional residence hall. These units provide free in-unit laundry and a full kitchen. Each campus apartment is slightly different, see the Campus Apartments page for details. 

Arrive North Shore Apartments

Units at Arrive North Shore, just down the road in Highwood, offer independent off-campus living while removing the hassle of apartment searching and signing a lease. Those living at Arrive will have all of the benefits and amenities of the complex residents, including laundry on each floor, air-conditioned units, a study center and conference room, and an on-site fitness room.
