The campus visit is one of the most integral parts of a student’s final college decision, and we are excited to share our admitted student reimbursement visit program for out-of-state first-year students where we will subsidize up to $500 in travel expenses.
Here's what you need to know:
All out-of-state students can receive a reimbursement of up to $500 for travel-related expenses.
Below are the expense categories that qualify for reimbursement:
- Mileage reimbursed at the rate of 57.5 cents per mile
- Public transportation fees
- Meals (itemized receipts, no alcohol)
- Hotel fees (1 night)
- Two nearby hotels have offered discounted rates for our visiting families: The Hilton Garden Inn and Residence Inn in Mettawa. Use the links below to book your stay:
- Flight
Once a family concludes their official visit, you will receive an email from us that will include a reimbursement form. The form will ask you to submit electronic receipts of any costs incurred during your travel that meet the qualifying categories. The reimbursement form must be submitted no more than two weeks after your visit to campus.
Once you complete the form, our Business Office will then generate a check and mail it to you. Families can expect to receive their checks in 4-6 weeks after submitting their form.
This reimbursement program is designed for out-of-state admitted students only. If you’ve already completed a visit to campus, we hope you’ll consider a return visit!
Can't make it?
Don't worry, personal visits are available Monday through Saturday! Personal visits will include a campus tour only. You can schedule to chat virtually with an admissions counselor, current student, and a financial aid staff member.
