Head Cheer and Dance Coach
Lake Forest College is accepting applications for the position of Head Cheer and Dance Coach. The position is a full-time, non-teaching faculty/administrative staff appointment, including benefits, within the Forester athletic department. The chosen candidate will support the mission and goals of the department and College.
Responsibilities: This position, under the supervision of the Assistant Vice-President for Athletics, will help establish the inaugural Varsity Cheer and Dance program at the College for the 2026-27 academic year. The position is responsible for the recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes, contest scheduling, budget and equipment management, and coaching and mentorship of student-athletes and assistant coaching staff. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting academic success and the health and well-being of student athletes, leadership and career development, community & alumni engagement, and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice-President for Athletics. Evening and weekend hours are required.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Collegiate cheer and dance or coaching experience.
- Strong commitment to working in intercollegiate athletics and the principles that guide Division III athletics.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative, work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: $55,000-$65,000
