Maksymiu ’20, Alicia Maynard ’20, Emily McCusker ’22, and Nicole Ramirez ’22 interned during the fall 2019 semester at the Chicago History Museum.

The internship focused on archiving, digitizing, and researching 50 years of images from the Chicago Sun-Times that are a part of the museum’s photo archive. The students also focused on creating blog posts for the museum that were then posted to the Digital Chicago website, which grew out of the Digital Chicago Mellon Grant.

Also, they recently published these blog posts in collaboration with curators at the museum on the Digital Chicago website. The posts focus on the 50th year anniversary of the murder of civil rights activist Fred Hampton.
