The fifth annual Forester Day, held on March 2, 2023, raised a record $676,352 from 2,035 donors.

The total number of donors from around the world far exceeded this year’s goal of 1,753—the number of students currently enrolled.

The fun-filled day kicked off in the morning with President Jill Baren and Boomer circling Middle Campus in a Forester-decorated Boomer Mobile to ask students trivia questions about the College for a chance to win donations in their name.

A lunchtime event followed with Kristin Graham ’94 presenting her inspiring talk, “How to ‘Yes, And’ Your Passion, Career, and Life,” from scholarship student to dot-com tech exec to entrepreneur. Graham shared the power of “Yes, And” to amplify a liberal arts education, build a powerful network, and make one’s own way.“When somebody else believes in you, believe them,” she told the crowd gathered in the Oppenheimer Center and many more who viewed the livestreamed event. The interactive conversation demonstrated the power of the Lake Forest College alumni network in action.

Several Forester Day events followed, including the first-ever live telethon, talks by College leaders, and an in-person Forester Day celebration in the Mohr Student Center. where alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends celebrated the successful day of giving.
