Welcome, Class of 2029 and new transfer students!

Lake Forest College welcomed 394 members of the Class of 2029 and 89 new transfer students on the first day of classes on Thursday, August 21.

The newest Foresters hail from more than 30 states and 47 nationalities. In addition, 50 percent are from out-of-state, 21 percent are international students, and 43 percent of domestic students identify as students of color.

Campuswide, the Fall 2025 student body totals more than 1,813 students from 43 states and 114 countries. Overall, 48 percent of all students are from out of state; 20 percent are international; 40 percent are domestic students who identify as students of color; and 13 percent are transfer students.
