About the Symposium
Join us for the 2025 AVS Prairie Chapter Symposium at Lake Forest College. The event brings together researchers, industry professionals, and students interested in materials science and engineering to advance research and collaboration across the midwestern region. The symposium features an open theme to showcase the diverse research interests within the AVS community. The event includes keynote presentations, regular talks, and poster sessions with poster awards. Lake Forest College's unique holography gallery will provide an inspiring fusion of science and art to your visit. We look forward to welcoming you at the symposium!

$1,000 in awards available for outstanding student poster presentations, recognized during the closing ceremony.

$30 for students and postdocs
