My life before Lake Forest
I was born and raised in Chicago's Southwest Side! I've worked in law, marketing, and community organizing prior to starting as an Admissions Counselor.

It has the best of both worlds in a lot of fields- the closeness and quiet of a small college but the opportunity and resources of a larger and urban academic setting.

Ask as many questions as you can, prepare some in advance and be curious!
What character traits do I appreciate in an applicant?
Engagement and passion! When you take initiative by starting clubs or seeking out responsibility and challenge, it's easy to see how you'll contribute to the classroom and campus community.

Be authentic, both to the places you're applying to and when evaluating your priorities for college and life after school.
Favorite activity in Chicago
Going to locally owned cafes and thrifting with friends!
Favorite place in the town of Lake Forest
The fountain plaza across from the train station, it's a great place to sit and read at when it's warm out.
Fun fact to share
I've made it my mission to try one new cuisine every month, and it gives me a chance to try a lot of small businesses all across the city!
