Aurora University Masters of Science in Athletic Training

Lake Forest College is affiliated with Aurora University's Athletic Training Program (MSAT)

Aurora University will provide an opportunity for up to ten guaranteed seats to students completing or graduating from Lake Forest College who apply to Aurora Univerity Athletic Training (MSAT) program. To qualify for the interview, a student must:

  1. Achieve a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average in their undergraduate coursework
  2. Have received (or be on track to complete and provide proof of completion by [first day of first quarter] of the calendar year when matriculation would occur if accepted) a baccalaureate degree from LFC.
  3. Have completed the minimum number of prerequisite courses (as stated in the AU Graduate School Catalog) in the prescribed subject areas at a regionally accredited college or university with a grade of C or better before the program begins.
  4. Completion of a CPR/ AED and first aid course within one year prior to enrollment.
  5. Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and submit proof of vaccinations.
  6. Complete an online application for admission through AU’s Graduate School.
  7. Completion Health Professions Program curriculum at LFC, and have received endorsement from LFC’s Pre-Health Advising Committee.

    • BIOL 120: Organismal Biology with Lab 
    • PSYC 110: Introduction to Psychological Sciences with lab
    • CHEM 115 and 116: Chemistry I & II with Lab
    • PHYS 110 and PHYS 111: Introduction to Physics with alb  
    • HPPC 208: Human Anatomy with Lab
    • HPPC 209: Human Physiology with Lab
    • MATH 150: Intro to Probability and Statistics or ECON/BUSN130: Applied Statistics or PSYC 221: Research Methods and Statistics

    + a Kinesiology/Biomechanics course (not offered at Lake Forest College; must be taken elsewhere)
