Registration for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Courses:

Monday-Friday, February 23-March 6:Registration Advising Period (all students)

Wednesday, March 18: Registration opens for Rising Seniors (18.0 or more earned credits)

Tuesday, March 24:Registration opens for Rising Juniors (10.0 or more earned credits)

Thursday, March 26:Registration opens for All other Current Students
Registration will remain open until Wednesday, May 20 at 11:59 AM CST.
Remaining Important Dates for Spring 2026:
- Friday, April 3: Last day to register for Pass/No Pass option by 11:59pm CST
- Tuesday, April 28: Last day to withdraw from a course with a "W" grade by 11:59pm CST
- Saturday, May 9: 2026 Commencement Ceremony
Full-time status is defined as 3.0-4.5 credits per semester. An overload is any course load in excess of 4.5 credits in a given semester. Only students who are in the Dean's List are permitted to take a fifth course without additional charge.
Important: Students will not be able to register beyond 4.5 credits until a date closer to the term start date. An email notification will be sent to students.

Check for Holds: Log into my.lakeforest.edu early to ensure you don't have any financial or health service holds that might block you from registering during the registration period.
Registration Information
View your current course schedule in my.lakeforest under Students > My Courses > My Schedule.
- A Course in C (Current) means you are fully enrolled.
- A Course in W (Waitlisted) status means you are on the waitlist. Contact the instructor directly with questions or concerns.
If you run into any issues or errors with registration: Log out of your my.lakeforest account and, if using Safari or Chrome, switch to a different web browser, and log in again. If you cannot resolve the problem using the solutions in the guide, contact the Registrar’s Office directly.

Frequently Asked Questions
You must receive a course authorization from the instructor, drop the waitlisted course, and then register for the same course. It will be successful if you have obtained the proper authorization through mylakeforest. See the course registration guides above.
For financial holds: Contact Student Accounts at studentaccounts@lakeforest.edu.
Current students: Contact the instructor directly. The instructor will ask the Registrar’s Office to register you as an auditor if approved.

Dates and Deadlines

Generally, extensions to deadlines are not granted. Pay attention to your emails and check the Academic Calendar to make sure you do not miss deadlines.
If you believe you have a legitimate reason to request a deadline extension, you may submit a formal appeal to the Academic Appeals Board of the College.
