Assistant Athletic Director: FAN Club and Forester Game Plan Coordinator

Lake Forest College, located just north of Chicago, invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Athletic Director: FAN Club and Forester Game Plan Coordinator within the Department of Athletics. This role provides an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about athletics, community-building, student-athlete development and alumni relations to strengthen engagement and support for Forester Athletics. The position requires in-person availability with some evening and weekend hours to support events, games, and alumni programming. This position plays a vital role in cultivating relationships with alumni, parents, and supporters while enhancing the overall fan experience at Lake Forest College athletic events. Additionally, this role will oversee the Forester Game Plan, the College’s career preparation program for student-athletes.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively across the athletics department and campus partners in support of the mission, goals, and values of Forester Athletics and Lake Forest College.

F.A.N. Club Director Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary administrator and ambassador of the F.A.N. Club, advancing its mission to promote school spirit, increase attendance at athletic events, and build enthusiasm for Forester Athletics.
  • Plan, organize, and execute FAN Club initiatives, social activities, and engagement opportunities that enhance the game-day atmosphere and overall fan experience.
  • Develop and manage alumni engagement efforts connected to Forester Athletics, including alumni game days, reunions, and special events, in collaboration with the Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with athletics alumni, parents, fans, and supporters to foster long-term engagement and connection to the College.
  • Coordinate communication efforts to keep FAN Club members informed about upcoming events, season results, and Forester Athletics news through email, newsletters, and collaboration with athletics marketing and communications staff.
  • Support fundraising efforts tied to the F.A.N. Club, including initiatives that raise funds for special projects such as uniforms, equipment, recruiting, and facility enhancements that benefit Forester athletic programs.
  • Track participation, engagement metrics, and fundraising activity related to FAN Club and alumni initiatives, maintaining accurate and organized records.
  • Collaborate with coaches, staff, and campus partners to ensure alignment of FAN Club activities with departmental goals and College priorities.
  • Assist with additional athletics department events, promotions, and initiatives as needed.

Forester Game Plan Director Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively coordinate the eight FGP seminars each year with coaches, administrators, Career Advancement Center staff, and alumni.
  • Oversee recruitment, event logistics, and follow up with industry professionals who participate in the FGP.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives for the Forester Game Plan to provide encouragement and enthusiasm for participants.
  • Serve as the campus advisor to the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

Qualifications:

  • Aa Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new software platforms. Preferred experience with CRM Software.
  • Evening and weekend availability required to support athletic events and alumni programming.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary: $62,000-65,000
