Living and Dying Under Dobbs
4:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Join us for this art exhibit opening reception and panel discussion featuring artist Tracy McCabe and reproductive rights activists Gracie Ladd and Dr. Kristin Lyerly, OBGYN.
Living and Dying Under Dobbs is an ongoing textile art project created by Tracy McCabe, Senior Lecturer, Emerita, in English and Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies, that tells the stories of death and suffering caused by abortion bans.
Following the reception is a panel discussion hosted by Professor Stephanie Caparelli and featuring Dr. Kristin Lyerly, a practicing OBGYN, reproductive rights activist, and the lead plaintiff in the case that restored abortion access in Wisconsin. Also joining the panel is Gracie Ladd, who testified before the U.S. Congress about her experience with abortion restrictions in Wisconsin during a dangerous pregnancy.
Registration is encouraged but not required.
