Series Dates and Times: Tuesdays, February 24, March 3, March 10, March 17, and March 24  from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Lake Forest College welcomes community members and alumni to a five-week journey through the sounds that shaped American Music. Held at the newly renovated Glen Rowan House, “From Blues to Broadway” invites participants to dive into the stories, styles, and social movements behind some of our nation’s most influential musical traditions. Each class blends history, listening, and conversation, creating space to explore how these genres emerged, evolved, and continue to resonate today. The opening and closing sessions will begin with a social reception featuring food and refreshments.

Registration is required; series fee is $250 and covers all events.   Please email the Office of Community Engagement with any questions.
