My life before Lake Forest

Before joining the team at Lake Forest, I started in freshman admissions at Lewis University, and most recently, I worked as an Associate Director at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with Physical Therapy students!

One word or phrase to describe myself

Dedicated

Top three reasons I would choose to attend Lake Forest College

1. Liberal arts education

2. Campus community (and location!)

3. Student-focus and individualized attention

What character traits do I appreciate in an applicant?

Authenticity! We want to get to know you and how you will fit in with the community here at Lake Forest; the application is your time to show us who you really are!

What makes the College unique?

The student development focus is unlike any other that I’ve come across in my time in higher education. The college emphasizes the importance of creating successful students who can incorporate aspects of their liberal arts education to become conscious citizens who will leave their mark on the world.

Tip for the college search

Be open to something different! It’s okay to have a strong opinion on where you want to go or the type of school that you want, but explore all of your options and opportunities. You might be surprised at what gems you may find!

Hint for success

Give yourself time to adjust, and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it! No one expects you to be perfect, and the change from high school to college can be overwhelming (I know it was for me!). Know your support options, talk to your faculty members, and be open to adjusting your own habits so that you can find success!

Favorite activity in Chicago

Bears games! The stadium is such a cool piece of history, and the atmosphere is electric on game days!

Favorite place in the town of Lake Forest

Sweet’s! I have a major sweet tooth, and I LOVE the ice cream here!

Fun fact to share

I’ve pet an otter at the Shedd Aquarium!
