Kappa Delta Pi

Kappa Delta Pi is an honor society in education. It strives to promote a closer fellowship among students who are dedicated to the teaching profession.  It promotes excellence in and the recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of education. KDP recognizes education majors who exhibit the ideals of scholarship, high personal standards, promise in teaching and who make contributions to education. Students who have been admitted to the Education Department and have successfully completed fieldwork, as well as two other courses in education with a B (3.0) or better, and who have attained a 3.0 GPA overall are invited to join Kappa Delta Pi.

Tau Psi Chapter at Lake Forest College is a very active KDP chapter that focuses on service projects to surrounding school districts and educational programs on campus, such as a series of outstanding speakers in the field of education. Membership in Tau Psi provides an excellent opportunity for education students to develop professional and social networks with the Lake Forest Community.
