Dustin Bennett has been working independently as a record producer and audio engineer since 2007, when he graduated from Monmouth College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and a membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Following an internship with Grammy-nominated record producer Johnny K, Dustin cultivated a diverse clientele with work ranging from music, spoken word, and guided meditation, to film soundtrack and music video projects. Working out of the state-of-the-art recording studio he built with the help of industry-leading studio designer Wes Lachot, Dustin has leveraged his experience as a multi-instrumentalist into versatility as a music producer. His projects have spanned a wide variety of musical genres, and have garnered millions of streams across digital platforms.

Dustin brings a passionate professional perspective into the classroom, where he encourages students to explore the intersection of art and technology through immersive hands-on experience. Having served Lake Forest College as a music technology consultant during the renovation of Reid Hall, Dustin currently oversees operation of the new recording studio while teaching Intro to Electronic Music, Advanced Electronic Music, and a variety of lessons and workshops.
