What is SafeForester App (Rave App Armor)?

A free mobile safety app designed to enhance campus security, emergency communication, and individual protection. Available for iOS and Android.

Key Features

Emergency Call Button - Instantly connects users to Public Safety or 911 based on location. (Mobile BlueLight- Geographical mapping)
Safety Timer (Virtual Escort) - Lets users set a countdown monitored by Public Safety or trusted contacts.
Anonymous Tip Reporting - Secure, encrypted submission of concerns with optional image/text.
Campus Alerts & Notifications - Receive real-time emergency alerts and safety updates.
Quick Access to Resources - Links to emergency procedures, mental health support, Title IX, and campus maps.

User Responsibilities

Register with your Lake Forest College email for full access.
Use responsibly - false reports or misuse can result in disciplinary action.
Maintain your app - keep it updated for optimal performance.

Public Safety Responsibilities

Monitor app alerts and tips during operational hours.
Respond based on urgency; coordinate with emergency services.
Protect privacy - location data accessed only when safety features are active.

In Case of Emergency

Activate the Emergency Call or Safety Timer.
- Public Safety responds immediately - via physical contact, dispatch, or coordination with services.

Privacy & Data Security

Fully encrypted communication.
- No continuous location tracking.
- Anonymous tip reporting without collecting personal data.

Campus Engagement

Promoted during orientation, RA training, and outreach events. Ongoing collaboration with Student Affairs, ITS, and Residence Life.

Violations

Misuse may lead to conduct action or suspension of app privileges.

This program provides 24/7 remote mental health and wellbeing support, empowering students to access self-directed digital resources and the opportunity to connect with experienced clinical professionals who specialize in the unique challenges faced by college students. This service is free for students and aims to enhance their well-being and retention while studying at Lake Forest College, complementing our existing campus resources.

Our students have access to support services customized for them by counselors who:

Looking for free food, fun events, or a new student org to join? Corq is the ultimate app to explore what’s happening at Lake Forest College! From arts and athletics to cultural celebrations and late-night snacks, Corq helps you find and filter events by interest, so you never miss out.

To Get Your Event Pass:
1. Download the CORQ app. The app is available free of charge in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
2. Sign in using your Lake Forest College email credentials.
3. Tap the profile icon in the top right corner.
4. Tap Event Pass
We recommend that you save your Event Pass to your mobile wallet or screenshot it and add it to your favorites for quick and easy check-in at future event

Band

Make the most of your time on campus by connecting with others, making life-long friends and memories with your neighbors and building-mates. Downloading the BAND app will automatically enroll you in the online community for your specific residence hall. This will provide a quick chat option to connect with your RA (hall staff member) as well as peers on your floor. This online community will help you stay informed about things going on in the hall, get important updates from ResLife, give feedback about your residential experience, and build community with others that you live with!
