The mission of Lake Forest College Mail Services is to provide accurate, cost-effective receipt and distribution of all College correspondence for the campus community.
How To Address Student Packages/Mail
Lake Forest College uses a universal address, and students are not assigned mailboxes. To ensure accurate and timely delivery, please use the following address format for all packages/mail:
Student Name
Lake Forest College
Mohr Student Center - Mailing Services
555 N. Sheridan Rd.
Lake Forest, IL 60045-2338
When sending packages/mail, please use your name as it appears on your Lake Forest College ID. Do not use nicknames. Failure to address your packages/mail in the format above may result in delays, missed delivery, or it being returned to sender as undeliverable.
Students - Package/Mail Pick up Process
- A QTRAK notification will be sent to your Lake Forest College email address and/or via SMS text message when your package/mail is ready for pick-up.
- Once you receive a QTRAK notification, visit the Mailroom with your Lake Forest College student ID during regular business hours to pick up your package/mail.
- All package/mail pick up requires a signature.
NOTE: Please wait to receive the QTRAK notification before visting the Mailroom. Carriers may mark packages as “delivered” when they arrive in the general zip code, but not necessarily at the College. Processing may take 24-48 hours.
Faculty and Staff - Package/Mail Delivery
- Mailroom staff will deliver packages/mail to Faculty and Staff offices.
- Deliveries are made once a day, Monday through Friday, between 1-4 p.m.
- Packages 75lbs or heavier will be held in the Mailroom. Please submit a work order to Facilities Management to arrange pick-up and delivery of large items.
Alumni, be sure to update your address early and often! Click here, check the “Update Contact Information” box, and submit your update.
Mailroom Policies
- All packages/mail require a signature upon pickup.
- Items must be picked up by the intended recipient.
- If the recipient is designating someone else pick up their package/mail, the recipient must email mailroom@lakeforest.edu in advance to provide authorization. The designated person must present a valid Lake Forest College ID.
- Items not picked up within 15 business days may be returned to sender.
- The only way that a letter or package can be traced is if it was sent accountable (i.e. with a tracking number).
- DO NOT SEND CASH THROUGH THE MAIL. Gift cards, pre-paid Visa/MasterCard, or money orders should be used as they can be traced, cancelled, and eventually be replaced in the unlikely event that they are lost or stolen.
