Behind the Application: Debunking College Admissions

Join us for a presentation from Lake Forest College Senior Associate Vice President for Enrollment, Mr. Michael Cohen.
The college admissions landscape has changed dramatically in the past decade.
Mr. Michael Cohen will discuss the current college application process, including insights into the Common Application, helpful tips for personal statements, letters of recommendation, test scores, campus visit days, and common mistakes to avoid. He will also share information about the Refer a Student program at Lake Forest College.
Whether you’re supporting a future applicant or simply curious about how the college admissions process has evolved in the 21st century, this session will leave you informed and empowered. The evening will conclude with a Q&A session. Atendees will receive a post event email with resources, FAQs, guidelines for typical application timelines, as well as the event recording.
