Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach and Sports Information Assistant
Lake Forest College is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach/Sports Information Assistant. The position is a part-time, non-teaching faculty/administrative staff appointment. The chosen candidate will work as a member of the Forester athletic department “team” and support the mission and goals of the department at the College.
Responsibilities: This position, under the supervision of the Assistant Vice-President for Athletics and Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach, will help establish grow our successful men’s lacrosse program and assist in the sports information department. The position is responsible for the recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes, coaching and mentorship of student-athletes, sports information contest coverage, student worker oversight, and game day operations oversight in the realm of sports information (fall semester). Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting academic success and health and wellbeing of student athletes, leadership and career development, community & alumni engagement, and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice-President for Athletics or Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Evening and weekend hours are required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Previous college coaching, recruiting and administrative experience preferred. An ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to working in intercollegiate athletics and to the principles that guide Division III athletics. Successful candidates will demonstrate the potential for collaborative leadership, a high degree of personal initiative, and the ability to manage several projects that may be ongoing during the same time. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Salary: $30,000-35,000
