Receptionist for Enrollment

The Receptionist for Enrollment will oversee the campus visitor experience and manage inquiries to the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. In addition, the Receptionist will help supervise student ambassadors and assist with the administration of the admissions budget.     

Receptionist Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily visits by students and family members—more than 1,000 annually—as well as other constituencies. Greet visitors and implement individual schedules, including coordination with student ambassadors, faculty, and staff.       
  • Serve as a secondary supervisor of student ambassadors, especially as related to prospective students’ individual visits.
  • Answer the admissions phone line and help manage email. Do the same for financial aid during peak times.
  • Support and staff admission events as needed. May include occasional weekends.
  • Ensure a warm and inviting environment in Patterson Lodge. Responsible for upkeep, ordering of supplies, and requests to Facilities Management.
  • Assist in administration of admissions budget, including student worker hours and processing transactions/receipts for vice president.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments for and coordinating current student and family members’ meetings with the associate financial aid directors during peak times.
  • Act as the “clearinghouse” for financial aid documents during peak times.
  • Perform responsibilities to be determined.

 

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Associate degree preferred. 
  • Driver’s license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong writing skills and evidence of responsive, prompt, and professional communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of campus constituencies.
  • Ability to work with and help supervise student employees.

Hourly Rate $21.50 -$23.00
