The Curricular Policies Committee (CPC) is charged with oversight of curricular changes at the College. Most commonly, you will interface with CPC when proposing new courses, making changes to existing courses, working with the Forester Fundamental Curriculum (FFC), or making changes to a departments/ programs.
According to the Faculty Handbook, CPC should discuss and formulate curricular policies and procedures and exercise oversight of curricular changes. For instance, CPC
- Oversees the general education requirements of the College (i.e., the Forester Fundamental Curriculum or FFC; see 4c below for more details)
- Reviews recommendations for curricular changes in existing academic departments and interdisciplinary programs.
- Reviews curricular proposals for new academic departments or programs.
- Reviews recommendations for sunsetting academic departments or programs.
- Reviews new course proposals (NCPs) and course change requests (CCRs).
- Oversees the academic calendar.
- Reviews proposals to change academic policies in the College Catalog.
- Oversees academic advising policies.
- Oversees the policies and procedures for regular student evaluation of courses.
- Reviews proposals for new academic partnerships with other academic institutions (including study abroad partners).
- Establishes new policies for the Academic Appeals Board as required and clarifies the intent of academic policies and rules at the request of the Board.

To submit a New Course Proposal (NCP), follow these steps.
- Review the timeline and FAQ document for NCPs.
- Download and review the New Course Proposal (NCP) Guidelines & Planning Document
- In a separate document, prepare answers to the relevant questions in the guide so that you can copy/paste into the following form because the form does not allow you to save your progress along the way.
- When you’re ready, please complete New Course Proposal (NCP) Online Form Flow
Proposal for new courses and course change requests have been disabled while we develop new forms that will be part of the new Catalog Management System. We anticipate that the new NCP and CCR forms will be ready by the start of the fall semester.
To submit a Course Change Request (CCR), follow these steps.

- In a separate document, prepare answers to the relevant questions in the guide so that you can copy/paste into the following form because the form does not allow you to save your progress along the way.
