How did you choose your area of study?
When I began college, I thought I wanted to study either psychology or biology, and then during my sophomore year, I took two neuroscience classes and very quickly realized I found my niche. Studying neuroscience is an incredible experience because it can provide tangible, molecular explanations for understanding what processes allow for a muscle contraction, or how plastic the brain actually is. My classes have taught me how to think more critically and that paying attention to details is not important, but crucial. With those skills and many others that the neuroscience department has helped instill, I feel ready to continue furthering my education with the hope of becoming a Physician Assistant.
