What drew you to Lake Forest College?
The community! People seemed so friendly and kind when I visited. There are also a lot of opportunities Lake Forest offers for your interests and different careers.
Have you had experiences here—besides your classes—that have helped prepare you for your future?
The connections I have formed with my professors has helped. Through them I meet a lot of people in my field and provide for internships. Also, the Career Advancement Center helps with your resume quickly into the year. They also put on speed networking, which is a good event to get your foot in the door.
How are you handling the sudden change and transition to online learning?
It’s ok! It is definitely not ideal, but when ever I am struggling or seem to fall behind my professors are always an email away.
What do you do in your free time (before the COVID-19 pandemic)?
I enjoy going to the beach and going to Chicago! These are easy to do and a fun way to get off campus.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan is to manage performance halls. I love the arts and business so I hope to combine theme for my career.
Any advice for new Foresters?
Go to orientation. It’s a great way to learn all you need about Lake Forest and you will meet a lot of new people.
What has been your favorite memory at Lake Forest College?
Relay for Life! This is an event where most of the campus comes together to fight for a common cause.
Parting words?
Can’t wait to meet you all in the fall!
