Gabrielle Burrage ’09 named Director of Education at Evanston Art Center

The studio art and communication major was appointed to the new position in August 2016.
Evanston Art Center wrote, “She brings a wealth of institutional knowledge of the Art Center and how it operates, as well as a background in the arts.”
Burrage started as an intern at the Evanston Art Center and then moved into the position of weekend receptionist in 2013. At the same time, she decided to return to school to earn a masters of arts in arts administration and policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She graduated last summer and is currently the Center’s manager of external affairs.
She managed their outreach program this year and will continue to strengthen the partnerships that she has put in place over the year. She has used her experience over the last five years to prepare her for this next step as Director of Education.
