Applause, applause

Several members of the College’s Residence Life staff have been honored for their outstanding professional work.
Andrew Pollom, associate dean of students and director of residence life, was honored with the Outstanding Research and Writing Award from the Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers (GLACUHO) for his recently completed dissertation. The award recognizes outstanding scholarship of graduate students and practitioners in the field based on the academic nature of the work, applicability of the research to the future of the field of residence life, and the quality of the writing.
Stacy Oliver-Sikorski, associate director of residence life for student success, was honored with the GLACUHO Service Award, which recognizes an association member who has served a minimum of 10 years in the profession and has made significant contributions to the mission of the association and home institution as well as outstanding service on a GLACUHO committee or the executive board.
Laura Williams, residence director of the In The Loop program, was appointed to the GLACUHO executive board as the programming and development assistant chair. She will serve a two-year term on the board overseeing the development of conference program sessions that represent a diversity of member needs. She has served on the committee for three years.
