Ala covered political events around Washington, D.C. and wrote news articles and analysis pieces about the Iran deal. One of his pieces appeared in the Huffington Post. His other duties this summer included meeting with congressional staffers, doing background research for the policy department, and helping to manage the organization’s social media accounts. The work he did over the summer has direct relation to his upcoming senior thesis project which will examine the impact of the deal on Iran’s internal politics and democratic development.
