Project Manager - Office of Communication and Marketing

The Project Manager within the Office of Communication and Marketing oversees workflow across all areas of the department—including print, design, digital, video, and events. This position ensures that projects are scoped accurately, assigned appropriately, tracked efficiently, and completed to the highest standard.

Working closely with both internal team members and campus partners, the Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of a wide range of communications projects. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking, logistical precision, excellent customer service, and a proactive and collaborative mindset.

This role will join a team of creative, collaborative, innovative, and data-driven professionals and will report to the Director of Creative Services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming project requests and ongoing workflows across the department. Projects often have multiple collateral needs and deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and task assignments.
  • Work with appropriate OCM staff members to check in on progress and report to directors and leadership as needed.
  • Serve as the liaison between OCM and departments across campus. This requires excellent customer service, knowledge of processes, and persistence.
  • Monitor project milestones and proactively identify risks or delays.
  • Manage the internal project management system, Monday.com, by using and creating effective workflow boards and ensuring deadlines are communicated to all players.
  • Primary liaison between Creative Services and Printing Services. This includes managing print and digital job tickets, working with internal and external clients to ensure that all necessary pieces of a job are provided and complete before print or design work starts, and assisting with job archival work.
  • Oversee the campus-wide calendar of events. Input events submitted through form data on the public-facing calendar. Initiate a promotion plan based on the type of event.
  • Submit events open to the public on local community calendars.
  • Manage content for all digital sign boards across campus.  Coordinate with campus departments to display their information correctly and on brand for various digital signs. 
  • Support the Office of Communications and Marketing through general office duties like supply ordering, calendar management, expense reports, note taking during departmental meetings, and other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree with 2-4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word required. Ability to learn and work within multiple systems, including a project management and customer relationship management system, is crucial.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and problem-solve.
  • Detail oriented, proactive communication, and persistence.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $47,500 – $50,000
