Ahmad Sadri to deliver series of talks across Europe April 25–28

Gorter Professor of Islamic World Studies and Professor of Sociology Ahmad Sadri is set to embark on a series of lectures across Europe, offering insights into various aspects of Iranian culture, literature, and ethics.

On April 25, Sadri will appear at the Center for Research on the Iranian World at Sorbonne University in Paris to discuss the publication of the new edition of the Epic of the Persian Kings by Norton Classics. This event promises an enriching exploration of Persian literary heritage and is open to the public.

Following his engagement in Paris, Sadri will make his way to London, where he will deliver a lecture titled “Decoupling Morality and Religion’at the Institute for Ismaili Studies at 10 a.m. Central Time on April 26. Sadri will shed light on the intersection of morality and religious beliefs, inviting attendees to delve into complex philosophical discussions. Continuing his speaking journey, Sadri will take the stage at the 8th Annual Iranian Books Without Censure event in Vienna on April 28. This gathering, open to all, underscores the importance of unrestricted literary expression and celebrates Iranian literature in its diverse forms.

In addition to his public appearances, Sadri will engage in a half-hour interview with BBC Persian at noon on April 26, conducted entirely in Persian. This interview presents a unique opportunity for audiences to gain deeper insights into Sadri’s perspectives on Iranian culture and contemporary issues.
