Developing career goals—and a plan of action to achieve them—is central to a Lake Forest education. With our comprehensive four-year program, students graduate with the skills and confidence necessary to launch a career or go to graduate school.

Career Milestones: The Forester Career Plan

Continuous four-year career-planning support begins on day one. Students will:

  • Explore majors and careers
  • Pursue internships and research to gain experience
  • Connect with alumni and professionals in your area of interest
  • Develop stand-out resumes 
  • Interview for jobs and grad school with confidence
RECENT NEWS
  • Students who plan to complete an internship during the fall 2015 semester may qualify for funding of up to $2,500 to help alleviate costs associated with their experience. Deadline: August 20. Students are not required to have an internship secured when they apply for the program, but will not receive confirmation of an award until after the internship is secured. 

  • The FBI recently released a nationwide public service announcement warning college/university staff and students of two prevalent scams.

    The Forester Career Network connects Lake Forest College students with professional alumni, parents, and friends of the College in order to further their career development. The most important requirement is a willingness to share your time and career expertise with students.

    Lake Forest College students and Alumni now have access to a new career research tool! Vault Campus offers in-depth intelligence on what it is really like to work in an industry, company or profession and resources that can help with career exploration as well as landing that ideal job or internship.
