Developing career goals—and a plan of action to achieve them—is central to a Lake Forest education. With our comprehensive four-year program, students graduate with the skills and confidence necessary to launch a career or go to graduate school.

Career Milestones: The Forester Career Plan

Continuous four-year career-planning support begins on day one. Students will:

  • Explore majors and careers
  • Pursue internships and research to gain experience
  • Connect with alumni and professionals in your area of interest
  • Develop stand-out resumes 
  • Interview for jobs and grad school with confidence
  • Image preview
    In lieu of scheduled appointments, our advisors will be holding walk-in hours the first week weeks of the semester. No appointment necessary.

    Looking for an internship or full-time job?  Join the resume book and your resume will be shared with employers and alumni interested in recruiting Lake Forest College students! Deadline Extended to September 18.
  • Students who plan to complete an internship during the fall 2015 semester may qualify for funding of up to $2,500 to help alleviate costs associated with their experience. Deadline: August 20; early applications encouraged. Students are not required to have an internship secured when they apply for the program, but will not receive confirmation of an award until after the internship is secured. Funding is limited, students are encouraged to apply early and pursue additional funding sources/budgets.
