Developing career goals—and a plan of action to achieve them—is central to a Lake Forest education. With our comprehensive four-year program, students graduate with the skills and confidence necessary to launch a career or go to graduate school.
Career Milestones: The Forester Career Plan
Continuous four-year career-planning support begins on day one. Students can:
- Explore majors and careers
- Pursue internships and research to gain experience
- Connect with alumni and professionals in your area of interest
- Develop stand-out resumes
- Interview for jobs and grad school with confidence
Students who plan to complete an internship during the spring 2015 semester may qualify for funding of up to $2,500 to help alleviate costs associated with their experience.
Six months after graduation, 94 percent of the Class of 2013 either had a job, were enrolled in graduate school, or were pursuing other options.
The College’s hallmark Speed Networking event drew a record 145 students and 95 professionals who connected during the annual job-finding hotspot.
The Forester Career Network connects Lake Forest College students with professional alumni, parents, and friends of the College in order to further their career development. The most important requirement is a willingness to share your time and career expertise with students.
