As Mark Twain once said, “The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.” Words matter in writing just as much as in speech. A piece of writing can tell you what the author believes and who the author is. With this in mind, it is imperative that authors present themselves to readers to the best of their ability.
