Why did you choose Lake Forest?
I knew that I did not just want to be a student lost in a big lecture room. I love how LFC has small class sizes to provide a more interpersonal education environment. I feel that I learn the course concepts more in depth as our lectures are primarily discussion-based!

What was the deciding factor that sold you on attending Lake Forest?
The diversity that this small liberal arts college has is incredible! I find celebrating the differences each individual has to offer as a vital component in the college selection process! I knew I wanted to attend a college that prioritized diversity and inclusion like LFC does!

Do you feel welcome as a transfer student at Lake Forest?
I absolutely felt welcomed to the college before I even started as a student! Admissions always checked up on me and made my transition from community college a seamless process!

What do you like best about Lake Forest College?
I loved the fact that professors genuinely want to see you succeed. I personally can attest to professors vouching out for me and using their connections and expertise to get me to where I want to go after graduation!

Have you participated in an internship?
Yes, my internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago provided great insight into the responsibilities and mission at the bank. Throughout my summer, I collaborated in a group setting, worked on an innovation pitch, and established friendships and connections. Overall, my soft and professional skill sets vastly improved.

What advice would you give to a student considering transferring to Lake Forest?
Do not be scared to come and visit campus! Everyone is friendly and will try to answer all your questions to the best of their ability! I would also take up the opportunity to sit in on a lecture to see the class dynamics first hand. You want to make sure you can see yourself happily attending the college!
