Spring Concert: An annual tradition

March 29, 2011

Students have anxiously been awaiting the announcement of who will headline the annual spring concert and Plain White T’s is it.

“An e.Team committee randomly surveyed students to determine what genres of music would be most appealing for this year’s concert,” said Patrick Doggett, program director for the Mohr Student Center, “and that committee then worked with an agent to do the rest.”

“The two most popular genres were alternative and hip hop,” said Briana Williams, president of e.Team. “Most students are excited about the choice of Plain White T’s as well as the other musicians that will be performing that evening.”  In addition to Plain White T’s, the lineup for the annual event on April 16 includes Andy Grammer, Parachute, and Jeremih.

“Jeremih recently had his new single move into the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and we have many Parachute fans on campus, it should be a great evening,” added Williams. Past performers for the spring concert have included Three 6 Mafia, T-Pain, and Matt & Kim.

e.Team is a student-run organization that promotes a strong campus community through a variety of social and educational programs. In addition to the spring concert, this year they have organized Winter Fest which included a variety of events, they have brought comedians to campus, organized numerous movie nights, and a trip to a Bulls game, among other things.

The Spring Concert is only open to the campus community with Lake Forest College I.D.s
