FALL 2015
MEN’S SOCCER: 13-7-1, 7-3-0 MWC (T-4th, MWC Tournament Champions)
The Foresters advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second time in the last three years after winning the four-team MWC Tournament at St. Norbert College. Dylan Hartman ’16 was named MWC Player of the Year and First Team All-North Region after leading the team with 13 goals and 11 assists.
WOMEN’S SOCCER: 14-3-2, 9-0-1 MWC (1st, MWC Champions)
Lake Forest finished off the regular season with a 12-game unbeaten streak and captured a second straight MWC championship. Michelle Greeneway ’16 was named MWC Offensive Player of the Year and her 104 career goals rank tied for thirteenth in NCAA Division III history. Holly Lesperance ’16 became the third All-American in program history.
WOMEN’S TENNIS: 11-1, 9-1 MWC (t-1st, MWC Champions)
The Foresters claimed the program’s third MWC title but first since 2003. Billie Rodman ’19 staked her claim as the best player in the league by winning conference titles at #1 singles and #2 doubles (with Allison Watts ’19). Christi Valicenti ’16, the winningest player in program history, was the MWC champion at #2 singles.
CROSS COUNTRY: Men 3rd, Women 5th at MWC Championships
Lake Forest led the league with seven all-conference honorees, including four on the men’s side for the second year in a row. Kristen Whitney ’17 broke her own school record with a 6K time of 22:49.7 at the NCAA Regional Meet while Jorge Villanueva ’19 established a new 8K record on the men’s side 1 with a time of 26:05.4.
FOOTBALL: 4-6, 3-2 MWC South (3rd-South)
Lake Forest moved up a spot from last year in the MWC South Division standings. Wide receiver Willie McIntyre ’16 was named First Team All-MWC South on offense while linebacker Sean Chapman ’16 and Pat Clark ’16 earned the same honor on defense.
WOMEN’S GOLF: 4th at MWC Championships
The Foresters’ scoring average so far this year is more than 29 strokes per round lower than their final mark in 2014-15. The team finished fourth in the MWC standings, one place better than a season ago, and Anhayte Guajardo ’19 earned all-conference honors by placing fifth at the MWC Championships.
VOLLEYBALL: 9-17, 5-5 MWC (6th)
Lake Forest finished at .500 or better in league play for the seventh year in a row. Brittany Avonts ’17 earned First Team All-MWC honors for the third time in as many seasons after breaking the program record with 138 blocks on the year.
MEN’S GOLF:
The Foresters competed in four events during the fall and averaged 26 fewer strokes per round than in 2014-15. Durham Ghelfi ’18 2 leads the team with a scoring average of 77.38, more than six shots per round better than last year’s top player.
