Sexual minorities and mental health

Cole Ledford, an advocate for LGBTQ+ and mental health communities, will speak at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 20 in the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel.
This event is presented by the Ethics Center, Active Minds, and the Health and Wellness Center as the first in a series of programs that will address minorities and mental health.
Ledford, an award-winning activist, speaker and consultant, became an overnight sensation for good who now travels the country as an advocate for the LGBTQ+ and mental health communities.
He has been a featured speaker at events across the U.S., ranging from the Gay Christian Network Conference to social media and activism speeches from Los Angeles to Washington D.C. He has been a featured speaker on TED.com for his TEDx Talk at Ohio State University in 2013 and for his Moth talk in New York City for the Jed Foundation in 2015.
Ledford runs social media accounts on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other sites and counts tens of thousands of followers and subscribers.
