Carla Arnell to publish article in literary journal

Professor of English and Chair of the English Department Carla Arnell recently had a new article on the 20th-Century British novelist Hope Mirrlees accepted for publication in the journal Renascence.
The article is titled “Lud-in-the-Mist as Memento Mori: Existential Anxiety and the Consolations of an Aesthetic Theology in Hope Mirrlees’s Fantasy Novel.”
Arnell began her work on Mirrlees as a Richter project with the help of Richter scholar Aleksandar “Sasha” Markovic ’20.
