As an events and promotions manager in the nation’s capital, Theresa Converse ’12 has her finger on the pulse of Washington D.C.

Today the former volleyball player at Lake Forest uses her economics and communications double-major for On Tap Magazine—the go-to source for all things fun, entertaining, and exciting in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

The Alpha Phi Fraternity member can always be found on-the-scene at major D.C.-area events, including On Tap’s signature Annual Running of the Chihuahuas.

Her work recently earned Converse recognition as one of D.C.’s Finest Young Professionals by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

“It’s a pretty big campaign here where people are nominated and go through an interview process then are selected by the prior year’s board,” Converse said. “I made it through! There are 20 of us in the city.”

Converse shares the five things she can’t possibly live without.
