One of Stanba’s proudest accomplishments was competing with undergraduate students across America and winning $10,000 through the Davis Projects for Peace Award during the summer of 2015. This award funded a 6-month social entrepreneurship project called PEACEats.

How did you choose your area of study?
I chose Economics and Politics because I really enjoy the mix of creative and analytical thinking that these subjects develop.
What do you think of the faculty?
They are easily accessible and approachable.
What’s your favorite class?
ECON 489 – Globalization and Its Impact.
This class helps you develop a perspective about important issues like globalization and thus, widens your horizon and keeps you well informed about vital issues.
What’s your favorite part of Chicago?
Everything you need or wish for is just a block away.
Why did you decide to study in the Loop?
I decided to study in the Loop because I wanted to do an internship in the 3rd largest city in America and at the same time take classes and be on track for your graduation.
I also wanted to get more acquainted with the city and wanted to form connections and increase my network of professionals.
Why do you think it’s beneficial for Foresters to use the city?
Chicago allows you to do things which you wouldn’t have been able to do while being on campus. You can be a full time student and carry out internships in one of the top cities of the world. This gives you an edge as internships allows you to develop hands on professional skills which you can use in your life after graduation.
