How did you choose your area of study?

I chose to study psychology because I am fascinated by the science behind human behavior. I’m especially interested in the psychology of language, developmental psychology, the psychology of music, and the psychology of emotion. In addition, I’m majoring in psychology because I am considering a career in the “helping professions,” such as speech-language pathology. I believe that an understanding of psychology is crucial to helping others to navigate life’s challenges and celebrate the joys of life.
