The Lake Forest Library’s book sale celebrates 40 years of hard work to raise money for library improvements. Volunteers sign up for two hour shifts to help organize books September 14-16 and manage the sale September 17-20. 

If you’re interested in volunteering, sign up online, call Lisa Foss at 847-482-0635, or email FriendsLFLibrary@gmail.com. All volunteers are invited to the pre-sale on Thursday, September 17 from 9 a.m.–5p.m. 

The book sale takes place at the Lake Forest Rec Center at 400 Hastings Road on Friday, September 18 from 9 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday, September 19 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and Sunday, September 20 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday’s sale is a bargain day and every book is 50 percent off! Admission and parking is free.
